Fire Detection & Early Warning Systems

Integra Fire Services supply and install fire detection systems to provide an early warning of a fire hazard for occupants.

Heat Detectors

Heat detectors are designed to alarm when heat causes a change in temperature. They are best suited to small confined spaces and areas where conditions alter dramatically e.g. kitchens, showers and plant rooms.

Smoke Detectors

Smoke detectors such as smoke alarms detect fires more rapidly than heat detectors. They are better suited to large open spaces as smoke doesn't dissipate as rapidly as heat.

Flame Detectors

Flame detectors respond to radiant energy from sources such as glowing embers, coals or flames. They have fast detection capabilities making them ideal in high-hazard areas such as industrial process areas, high-ceiling areas and atmospheres in which explosions may occur.

Integra Fire Services supply and install fire detection systems individually suited to each customer based a variety of factors. Taken into consideration are elements such as; possible ignition sources, the type and quantity of fuel and the value of the protected property.

Emergency Warning Intercommunication Systems

Emergency Warning & Intercommunication Systems (EWIS) and Occupant Warning Systems (OCS) are interconnected to either the fire detection or suppression systems to activate automatically. These systems are used to warn occupants of an emergency and assist in the evacuation of the building.
Both systems are designed and installed to meet the requirements of the Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards AS1670.1 - 2004.

Warning systems shall be regularly inspected and tested to ensure readiness for use.
